Two Days To Row The Thames, Without Leaving Home
Childhood friends Charlie and Harry’s first hit headlines in April for ‘climbing’ Everest in their London flat’s stairwell, taking just 23 hours and raising £8,500 for NHS charities in the process.
In the beautifully shot “Upstream” by Sam Bebbington, they take on their second challenge. Rowing the 346 kilometre length of the thames… on rowing machines… in 48 hours.
This is the second Free of the Week produced during lockdown, and is yet another testament to the creativity and imagination of the filmmaking community. In order to respect social distancing rules, Bebbington chose to keep shooting to a minimum, collecting all his footage in just five one-hour shoots.
To date, the challenge has raised over £12,000 for NHS charities. You can help them reach their £15,000 target by contributing here.
Edit: ‘Free of the Week’ is now ‘Short of the Week’.
