Gela, a travelling trader, provides a window into rural life in the Republic of Georgia, where potatoes are currency and people's ambitions are crushed by poverty.

Selling secondhand clothes and household items from the back of his minibus, Gela entices young and old to peer into his truck, their eyes lighting up at the sight of modern conveniences like sponges and lint brushes.
